Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

I've been meaning to post this recipe for quite some time (as you can see, the pics are from August!). And now that I'm thinking of it, who the heck wants to eat ice cream cake in the middle of the winter?!  Although...ice cream is my favorite so I could eat it anytime!

This recipe came from my girlfriend's Mom. She made it for a birthday party we went to over the summer and I immediately got the recipe from her. It's super easy and really yummy too!

Ice Cream Sandwich Cake
20 ice cream sandwiches
1 jar of hot fudge
8oz cool whip
desired toppings

1. Line bottom of pan with ice cream sandwiches-cut to fit if needed.
2. Top with half of hot fudge sauce, a layer of cool whip and any other toppings you desire!
3. Do a second layer of ice cream sandwiches
4. Top with hot fudge, then cool whip, and toppings.
5. Freeze until ready to serve!

(Notes: So next time, I'll have to play around with this a bit. I didn't have enough ice cream sandwiches for some reason. And the 8oz of cool whip barely covered both layers in the pan so I might buy a bigger tub of cool whip next time. Along with hot fudge, I used peanut butter sauce. For toppings I used crushed M&Ms.)

Even though I had to fake some of this to make it look right, it still tasted fantastic! And I love how easy it is! Definitely something easy to bring for a party, especially in the summer!

Easy Cherry Pie

Let's see-I've had this recipe sitting in queue since July and still haven't posted about it. No better time than today right?!

We love taking the kids out to pick fruit in the summer....strawberries, raspberries and cherries. The problem?  You have so much fruit that you don't know what to do with! Yes, my kids eat a ton, but when you pick numerous pounds of stuff, they only last for so long before going bad.  So when we went cherry picking over the summer, I knew I had to figure out something to do with some of it.

I decided to make my first ever cherry pie.  And it turned out pretty darn good! I'm sure I'll be making it again next year when we go cherry picking!

Cherry Pie
 5 cups cherries, pitted
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
pie crusts (either homemade or store bought)

1. Add cherries, sugar, and cornstarch to a pan and stir to combine.
2. Heat mixture until sauce thickens (I honestly don't remember how long it took since it was 6mos ago!)
3. Pour into pie crusts and bake at 350 until crusts start to brown (again I have no clue how long!).
(Notes: I "cheated" and used store bought crusts. I've never made one from scratch and I think the store bought ones are just as good. The only issue I came across is that my cherry pitter left a ton of seeds in the filling. Luckily just our family ate the pie so it wasn't so bad that we were spitting out pits, but it's not something you want in your pie either!)

Salted Caramel Dump Cake

How about a recipe?

Since Thanksgiving is next week and all! Yes, NEXT week folks!

Day to day life has been busy and nothing Earth shattering has been going on so I don't have much to update about.

So to fill the blogging void, here's a new recipe I tried out about a month ago. I think I saw this going around on Facebook-although not 100% sure. Anyways, it caught my eye somewhere, I jotted it down and decided to try it.

Delish. (and easy too!)

Salted Caramel Dump Cake
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding
1/2 cup milk
1 box Devil's food cake mix
1 1/2 cup chopped caramels
1 cup chocolate chips
sea salt

1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x13" pan.
2. Whisk pudding and milk for 1 minute.
3. Stir in cake mix-it will be thick!
4. Spread into pan
5. Sprinkle with caramels and sea salt (a little goes a long way)
6. Bake for 30-40min
7. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle on top

Ready to bake!

Ready to be eaten!
(Notes:  This came out really good. The only problem?  Once it cools, the caramels get pretty hard. So this is best served warm. Once I realized they hardened, I microwaved a slice for a few seconds and that also did the trick. Maybe next time I would try a caramel sauce/topping in place of the candies?  I also could have used more sea salt as I really couldn't taste mine. I was afraid of using too much and I don't think it was enough.)

Peanut Butter Cookies

I found this recipe online somehow and it sounded to easy and too few ingredients to be true. If you've ever made peanut butter cookies, you know the list of ingredients can be much longer than this. Since it has only 4 ingredients, it seemed too easy and couldn't possibly hold together or taste good.  Of course I had to try it out since peanut butter is my *fave* thing to eat! And believe me, I wasn't disappointed!

Peanut Butter Cookies
1cup chunky peanut butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
3/4tsp baking soda

1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.  Roll into balls and if desired, make criss-cross pattern with a fork on top.
2. Bake at 350 for 8-10min.
(Notes: I used chunky peanut butter, but I'm sure creamy would work just fine. I did do the criss-cross pattern and I also sprinkled just a touch of regular sugar on top like you would a regular PB cookie.)

These turned out great. Unlike other PB cookies I've made, they are not dry or crumbly at all! Very moist and delicious! And of course, super easy! They'll be made again!

Snow Ice Cream!

I have seen this idea floating around online and knew I wanted to eventually try it with the kids.

I bought the stuff I needed at the store a few weeks ago and was just waiting for a good amount of fresh snow.

Mother Nature came through for us today so when Gabe got home and after we had dinner, it was time to make snow ice cream!

I've never made this before so I was a little skeptical....snow ice cream?!

Recipe
8-10 cups of fresh snow
1 small can sweetened condensed milk
1tsp vanilla extract

Gabe and Avery went out to collect the snow for us....
Then you just pour on the milk and vanilla and stir away!

Put it in some bowls and add whatever topping you desire (the kids went with rainbow sprinkles) and eat it!
Thumbs up!
I have to say it turned out pretty good. I didn't eat a bowl of it, but we all tried some and it was pretty tasty! The kids gobbled it up of course! I'm sure this will be on the list of things to do in the winter!

Bundt Cinnamon Rolls

Here's a goody for Christmas morning!

We've (my family) has been making this for quite some time. It's super easy and super delicious!

Bundt Cinnamon Rolls
Hungry Jack flaky biscuits (2 cans)-not jumbo size
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
1 stick butter (1/2 cup), melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Using 1tbsp butter, grease bundt pan.
3. Sprinkle in nuts
4. In bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon
5.  Take each biscuit and dip into melted butter then coat in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Stand up in pan.
6. Bake for 30-40min or until golden
7. Dump immediately onto serving plate

YUM!
(Notes: the only thing I have to tell you about this is to make sure you dump it out right away. If you let it start to cool, the sugar hardens and it's very hard to remove from the pan! This is very good served warm, but could be served at room temperature as well.)

Cookie/Brownie/Candy-YUM!

This week was pretty much status quo around here so I have nothing exciting to post about. I have a few recipes I have saved to share, so I figured I'd throw one out there!

This one has been going around on Pinterest and Facebook-maybe not this exact recipe, but definitely something similar. I finally decided to give it a try when some friends came over for dinner a few weeks ago! And I have no idea what it's called! Haha!

Cookie/Brownie/Candy Bars

1 roll chocolate chip cookie dough (or you could use homemade)
peanut butter cups
Brownie mix plus ingredients to make brownies

1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x9" pan with non-stick spray
2. Spread out cookie dough in the bottom of the pan.
3. Layer on peanut butter cups
4. Prepare brownie mix as directed on box. Pour on the top.
5. Bake for 45min. Let cool before cutting.

(Notes: I wouldn't use homemade cookie dough only because you pretty much only taste the brownies-they definitely overpower the cookie taste.  I used mini PB cups but you could use the larger ones if you wanted. I used a smaller pan instead of a 9x13" because I don't think the cookie dough would have fit in a pan that large. This made baking tricky because of course the outer edges were more than done at around 35min...I removed mine then. However, the middle was like eating raw brownie batter. Don't get me wrong-I LOVE them that way, so for me it was fine. But when you're serving it for guests, I would have liked them a little more done. You just have to keep an eye on them!)

These turned out very good-I'd make them again for sure. Maybe if I doubled the cookie dough you'd taste them more? Not sure-either way, they were tasty!

Apple (Dump) Cake

While searching for something to do with all of the apples we picked, I came across this recipe. It looked ridiculously easy so of course I questioned how good it would be...but decided to give it a try.

I found it called just "Apple Cake" but it seems it's also known as a "dump cake" too!

Apple (Dump) Cake
-apples-peeled, cored and sliced (I think I used about 7 of them)
-1 stick butter, melted
-1 box yellow cake mix

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Cover the bottom of a 9x13" pan with sliced apples
3. Dump cake mix to cover all of the apples
4. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix
5. Bake about 35-45min or until apples are cooked through
6. Serve warm! Bonus if you add whipped cream/ice cream too!

(Notes: I also sprinkled some ground cinnamon and a little bit of brown sugar on top of the cake mix. I had no idea how long to bake it as many of the reviews had very random times that ranged from 20-60min! After about 20min, some spots on the cake looked dry so I took a spoon and spooned in some water to get the cake mix a little bit wet. I think I ended up baking ours for about 40min.)

This ended up turning out really yummy! It's sort of like an apple crisp, but I think I actually liked it better than apple crisp, and it's way easier if you ask me! I'm sure you could play around with the fruit and cake combinations and come up with some good ones too (strawberry/chocolate?). Definitely will be making this one again!

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Dip

There is a recipe going around like wild fire on facebook/pinterest these days. Of course it caught my eye because it's peanut butter....and cookie dough. Bonus!

When we went to our friends' house a few weeks back, she actually made it and it was delicious so of course I had to investigate  the recipe. After looking at it, it looked familiar. You might remember this recipe from way back when. Well, it's basically that exact recipe with some peanut butter and peanut butter cups added in. Exactly the same!

I have a get together to go to tomorrow so I made it to bring along!  Looks and tastes good so far-just from licking the spoon!

So if you want to make this, just make the old recipe and add in some peanut butter (probably 1/3 cup) and some peanut butter cups (as much as you like-I did about 1/3 cup). I served it with some mini graham crackers and pretzels!

Cookie Dough Bites

Everyone loves cookie dough, right?! I mean c'mon...it's the best part about baking cookies! Who doesn't love licking the beaters/spoon when you're done?!

I admit, I'm a batter eater...eggs or not...shame on me, I know but I just can't resist it (although I didn't eat it all while pregnant). And I'm not picky-cakes, brownies, cookies...it's all tasty! But probably one of the best is chocolate chip cookie dough. YUM! I could eat the entire bowl (and probably would be sick to my stomach after).

So when I saw this recipe for eggless cookie dough, I jumped on it! Do NOT wait to try these...they are so.darn.good!  I made them for a party and they went like hotcakes-I went through the entire batch in no time! I think I only tried 1 or 2 of them but they were delicious and I'll have to make some for myself us soon!

Cookie Dough Bites
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
melting chocolate

1. In a bowl, beat butter and sugars until fluffy (~3min)
2. Add milk and vanilla and mix some more
3. Add salt and flour and beat until well combined
4. Stir in chocolate chips
5. Put dough in the fridge until cold enough to roll into balls (they recommend an hour)
6. Roll dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Freeze for at least 15min.
7. Melt chocolate in a bowl and dip cookie dough balls into chocolate until coated. Place back onto waxed paper and decorate if desired. Put in the fridge until hardened. Bites should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge.

(Notes: I left my dough in the fridge for several hours before rolling into balls and it was fine. Same with freezing them-they were in there awhile before I got to coating them in the chocolate. My only suggestion is to try and take out a few at a time to roll in the chocolate. I took out the entire tray and once and towards the end, the chocolate wasn't sticking very well because the dough was getting too warm. Next time I'll have to do a few at a time. I also didn't use melting chocolate-I used chocolate chips instead which worked just fine. They also suggested doing these on lollipop sticks, which would make dipping them in the chocolate easier. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of that, but it would make dipping easy-that was the hardest part of this recipe!)

Spider Cookies

For our neighborhood Halloween parade/party, we were all asked to bring something. I'm really not clever when it comes to making things holiday themed so I had no idea what to bring. I did some searching online and came across these and loved them!

Spider Cookies!
Aren't they adorable?

And pretty easy, although a little time consuming!

All they are are Oreo cookies (I did the Halloween ones) with pretzel legs (I had to break them in half because they were too long) and M&M eyes ("glued" on with melted chocolate). The hardest part was getting the eyes stuck on because they're small and the chocolate goes everywhere if you're not careful.  But I think they turned out really cute!

And they were a  big hit!

Granola Bars

Seriously, can you tell that I'm in a mood to try new recipes lately? I haven't posted this many in a long, LONG time!  I'm just in a kick of trying new things out for some reason and I don't know what's fueling this fire! It probably won't last long, but for now I'm enjoying some new stuff around here!

You can find the original recipe for these here! I didn't change anything from it!

Granola Bars/Bites
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup rice crispies
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup choc chips

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Line baking dish with foil and spray foil with non-stick spray.
3. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except chocolate chips until wet/crumbly.
4. Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Pour mixture into pan and press into pan
6. Bake for 17-22min
7. Cool overnight (loosely covered) and cut into bars/bites

(Notes: I didn't have rice crispies so I used cheerios instead! I used a 9x13" pan and baked mine for 18mins...they came out crunchy! I prefer chewy granola so next time I'll either bake them less, or use a square pan instead. I also didn't let them sit out overnight so I don't know if that would have made them chewier. I let them sit maybe 2 hours before I cut them and they were pretty hard to cut, but honestly I think they were just overdone.)

Even though these came out crunchy, they were still very tasty! I'm not a huge honey fan so next time I might do half honey, half maple syrup to see what that is like. I think this is a recipe that you could totally play around with and make it different each time (cranberries, nuts, peanut butter, dried fruit, etc).

I'll definitely make these again and play around with it some more to see if I can get them chewy!

So sorry I haven't  been taking pics of my food lately-I tend to think of it after it's been eaten! Oops!

Saltine Toffee Bark

My girlfriend brought these over for a dessert a few weeks ago.

It was the first time I had this....

and it won't be the last!

These things are addicting! My sister-in-law told me that a coworker of hers makes these and calls them "crack" (as in that's the name of this recipe). I can totally see why! They are that good!

Gabe actually told me the other day that another batch needed to be made because we were running out!  So I decided to try and make them.

And....they are super duper easy.  Addicting + easy = bad! These will probably become a staple in our house which is a bad thing, but they are so.darn.yummy!

Try them please!

Saltine Toffee Bark
Saltine crackers (enough to line a 9x13" pan-I used 28 crackers)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
heath bar bits (or nuts/sprinkles/any garnish you desire)

1. Preheat oven to 400
2. Line a 9x13" pan with foil and spray foil with non-stick spray (aka Pam)
3. Cover bottom of pan with saltine crackers:

4. In saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar and bring to a boil. Let boil for 3mins then remove from heat and pour over crackers (I read online not to stir it while it boils so I didn't...not sure if that's true or not!):
5. Bake in the oven for 5-6mins. It will do a lot of bubbling while baking!
6. Remove from oven and sprinkle on chocolate chips. Let stand 5mins, then spread chocolate chips on top of crackers. Sprinkle with whatever garnish you want to use:
7. Let cool completely then break into pieces and enjoy! FYI it's best to store this in the refrigerator (we put ours in a ziploc bag).

(Notes:  The recipe actually calls for 1 cup of butter and 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of choc chips.  After reading a lot of reviews online it sounded like it was a little overkill so I cut back on the amounts a bit and to me they tasted just fine.  It seems the big garnish to use is walnuts, but Gabe isn't a fan of nuts so we stuck with the Heath bits, which is what my friend used as well.  To cool mine, I stuck the entire pan in the fridge for awhile until it felt pretty solid and then I broke it into pieces. I have no idea how long it would have to sit at room temperature to get hard enough to break-I'm guessing a few hours easily.  This also freezes really well too-added bonus!)

Pistachio Pudding Pie

Ahhhhh.....

This is an oldie but a goodie in our family and super easy too!

I was looking for something "summery" to bring to my Mom's for the 4th-something light and not too dense/heavy-ya know, something that screams out SUMMER!!

This my friends, is it!

Pistachio Pudding Pie

2 cups ritz crackers, crushed
1/3 cup butter, melted
2 pkgs pistachio instant pudding
1 qt vanilla ice cream, softened
3 cups milk
8oz container cool whip

1. Pour cracker crumbs on the bottom of a 9x13" pan and spread out evenly. Drizzle melted butter over cracker crumbs.

2. In a bowl, beat pudding and milk for about 2 minutes.  Fold in ice cream until well mixed. Pour over cracker crumb layer.

3. Top with cool whip and whatever else your heart desires (I used chocolate chips). Refrigerate until serving.

(Notes-You can use more/less butter if you want. I think the recipe calls for 1/2 of a stick but I used less than that. I also used pistachio ice cream instead of vanilla and when adding in the ice cream, I mixed it with a mixer-it's just easier that way for me. You can also use more ice cream than called for-I bought a half gallon and just ball parked it. We keep our pie in the fridge, but you could also try freezing it-I've never done it that way, but I'm sure it's just as good!  And if you don't like pistachio, I'm sure you could use any other flavor of pudding you like instead.)
Happy Summer!

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

I always wanted these as a kid.

I have no idea why but I thought they were the best things ever.

I don't think my Mom ever made them for me, but I had them somewhere and have been dying to try them out.

So I finally did for Avery's birthday treat for her daycare.

Ice cream cone cupcakes!!

I wasn't sure how to tackle them-how full to fill the cones, how to get them to stand up, how to  transport/cover them....it was all a bunch of trial and error on my part.

I made a regular box cake mix and bought ice cream cones-regular size (not the jumbo ones they sell).

A friend suggested lining a cupcake pan with foil and poking holes in it to stand the cones in:

Then I filled them to right about where the ring of squares start:

And baked them I think for about 17min or so (of course this will vary with your oven).  Some of them overflowed just a bit, and some didn't but they came out pretty well.  I got 18 cones out of the mix and 6 regular cupcakes (I ran out of cones).

To transport them, I decided to use a shirt box and cut "X" marks where I wanted the cones to go-then wedged the cones in there. It worked like a charm! The only thing was that I didn't cover them at all. I guess I could have used saran wrap or something, but I didn't. I made them up tonight and she's taking them to daycare tomorrow so I figured if they sat out one night it wouldn't be a huge deal.

Here's the finished product:

Avery loved the way they came out! And of course I had to try one myself to relive my childhood memories-they're pretty good although I wish the cone didn't get so soft....still yummy though!!

Peanut Butter Pie

I looked through my recipes on here and I can't believe I haven't posted this one yet!

This is an all time favorite in my family and bonus-it's super easy to make! So what are you waiting for??

Peanut Butter Pie
2 pints vanilla ice cream, softened
2 cups cool whip, thawed
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup chopped nuts
1 pie crust-baked and cooled
hot fudge sauce

1. In a large bowl, mix (with a mixer) ice cream, cool whip, peanut butter and 2/3 cups chopped nuts until well blended
2. Pour into baked pie crust and spread evenly.
3. Freeze until firm
4. Once frozen, melt hot fudge sauce and spread over pie. Top with remaining chopped nuts.
5. Freeze until firm
6. Before serving, let thaw 15-20min so you're able to cut it.

Notes:  This recipe can be varied and tweaked any way you like it. I typically don't use vanilla ice cream. I like the pie really peanut-buttery so I usually use vanilla ice cream that has peanut butter in it as well. Gabe isn't a fan of nuts in his desserts, so I usually omit them or use something else in their place. For this pie, I mixed oreos in with the ice cream and topped the pie with mini peanut butter cups. I also am not a huge fan of using a regular pie crust so I use the Oreo crusts that they sell. And one other thing-you may need to add a touch more of everything than suggested. Especially with a regular pie crust, if you use the exact measurements, it might not fill up the crust entirely so I add a little bit more of everything into the mix. It's one of those recipes that when you make it enough, you can just eye-ball the measurements.

Turtle Cake

I had to look back at all of my recipes and see if I posted this one yet...and I was surprised to see that I didn't!

This is a very yummy dessert and super easy to make too! Not too sweet, not too rich....just delicious!

Turtle Cake
1 box of German Chocolate cake mix
14oz bag of caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3/4 stick of butter
1 cup of chocolate chips
1 cup of chopped walnuts

1. Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Grease and flour a 9x13" pan. Pour half of the cake batter into the pan and spread evenly. Bake on 350 for 15min.

2. While cake is baking, melt caramels, butter, and evaporated milk in a saucepan over low heat until melted.

3. Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over cake. Spread evenly and let sit 5-10min.

4. Pour remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Spread evenly. Top with walnuts and chocolate chips. Return to oven for 20min or until cake is baked through.

Try this! You won't regret it!

Fruit Pizza

For our 4th of July get together yesterday, I volunteered to make a dessert. I've seen this done before and found numerous recipes online that were all so different for it. I ended up just doing what I felt like with it and I think it turned out quite yummy!

Fruit Pizza
1 pkg refrigerated cookie dough (I used Pillsbury)
8oz cream cheese, softened (I used fat free)
8oz cool whip (I used fat free)
1/4 cup sugar (give or take)
fruit for garnish (I used strawberries and blueberries to be patriotic but anything would work)

1. Spread cookie dough out on 12" round pan. Bake as directed. Let cool.
2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, cool whip and sugar until smooth. Spread over cooled cookie dough.
3. Garnish with fruit and chill until served.

Notes: I baked mine longer than the package said. I think my oven cooks slower than a typical oven, but I honestly don't remember how long I baked it for. I just kept an eye on it and took it out when I thought it was done. Next time I might grease the pan before spreading out the dough as it was a bit hard to remove from the pan. The cream cheese mixture was great-I'm not a huge cream cheese fan which is why I added in some sugar. I tasted some without and it was too tart for me, but some people might like it that way.

Overall this was very good and a refreshing dessert for a hot summer day. I'll definitely make it again!

S'mores Bars

I have no idea where I got this recipe from. It's been in my book for awhile, but I've never made it until this past weekend. We had to bring a dessert to our new neighborhood block party and I thought these would be good since they would have to sit outside all evening.

S'mores Bars
1 package of sugar cookie mix
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup butter, melted (2 sticks)
3 cups milk chocolate chips
4 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

1. Preheat oven to 375
2. In a bowl, combine cookie mix, graham cracker crumbs, and butter until a soft dough forms. Press into a 9x13" pan. Bake 18-20mins or until set.
3. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle on chocolate chips. Let sit 3-5mins or until melty. Spread over crust.
4. Top with marshmallows and broil until lightly browned.
5. Serve warm if possible

These turned out very good! I will say that it is a lot of chocolate chips-its almost 2 bags, which is a lot. I think you could get away with one bag and it would be plenty. I also baked mine too long-after 20min, the bars didn't look "set" to me so I baked them an extra few minutes and I think it was too long. When they cooled, they were very hard to cut (although not hard to bite into). We didn't serve them warmed, but they were still good. With my leftovers, I microwaved them about 10sec and they were fabulous-nice and gooey like a S'mores! And of course I love that this recipe is super easy! Definitely will make them again!

Banana Bread

I thought for some reason that I posted this recipe already, but when I went and checked, I hadn't! I just made some banana bread last week which made me think of it. Of course at the time I thought I already posted it so I didn't take a picture. This is a super easy recipe and turns out very good! I have no idea where the recipe originated-my Mom has had this for as long as I can remember.

Banana Bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 ripe bananas, mashed

1. In mixing bowl, mix butter and sugar until creamy.

2. Add eggs and mix well.

3. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and bananas and mix well.

4. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for one hour.

Notes: This last time I baked mine for about 55min and it was just a touch overdone. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it's not overdone. I also sprinkled the top of mine with cinnamon sugar for a little extra something. You can also add some stir-in ideas: chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, etc.
